About this Event
Helping introverts build a foundation out there through inner care.
Knowledge-sharing, chill lecture, writing exercises, resources, templates & tips!
We'll go through common definitions of "introvert" and "extrovert" based on cognitive psychology, acknowledge who in the room identifies as either, reflect on the strengths of introversion, and gently establish how many comedy environments, and processes, lean towards an extrovert bias.
How can we navigate best? We'll examine the crossroad of art and comedy. What subject matter resonates with those in the room? Is βartβ more introverted than comedy? What connects the two? What routines do introvert musicians, or visual artists, have that can benefit introverted comedians?
Concluding means leaving with an understanding of options for introverts in comedy, and how extroverts can best support themβCanada Council for the Arts grants, interdisciplinary research, inspiration, and resources to help you excel in your shell (to rebel against the world that insists you must only break out of it).
