Zak Toscani
Zak Toscani is a standup comedian and writer based on the West Coast. Known for his originality, vulnerability, and sharp perspective, Zak’s comedy has taken him from the Pacific Northwest to international stages.
He's performed at major festivals like Bumbershoot, Bridgetown, and High Plains, and he's the most frequent guest on the beloved podcast All Fantasy Everything. Zak has also written for Comedy Central, with his work featured in TIME, The AV Club, Buzzfeed, Vice, and more.

After four long years, Shakespeares Lower Level is the home of Professional Comedy in Kalamazoo! We are eager and excited to bring more household names to our town in 2025 and beyond!

Originally the host of Standup or Shut up at the Lower Level Bob has worked with many world class comedians and top clubs throughout the Midwest. Organizing and producing shows at Shakespeare's since 2012 Bob is so very excited to bring comedy back to the Lower Level post apocalypse. Now a Single Dad, Bob relates to his audience with an absurdity in his observations that are off the wall, self deprecating and endearing. He loves to tell stories and make people laugh. During the pandemic he took on content creation, growing an audience around the world. Now he is ready to bring world class comedy back to Kalamazoo once again!
About the Show: This show is produced and Hosted by Bob Fredericks who worked with Shakespeare's Lower Level (2012-2020) to produce many Professional shows in Kalamazoo. Notably featuring Tom Green, Bobby Kelly, Doug Stanhope and Stavros Halkias as well as some other rising talents in the National Comedy Scene like Mary Mack, Sean Patton, Shane Maus, Stewart Huff and Dave Stone among others. We hope to return Lower Level Comedy to its previous Glory
Door's Open at 8pm show at 9pm
Plenty of Parking on site adjacent to building as well as downtown. Come early and order food upstairs or downstairs in the venue, feel free to go upstairs and continue the fun after the show. Seats are first come first serve General admission, you will be directed by event staff to available seating as you arrive. If you are trying to be seated with a party please arrive early and arrive together.
ACCESSIBILITY: The Venue is located downstairs, Wheelchair Accessible via Elevator in the back. Contact Shakespeare's before the show for help accommodating your needs.

Plentiful Parking available adjacent to the building, feel free to come early and enjoy dinner and drinks before the show upstairs in this beautiful historic building turned legendary Kalamazoo Pub with over 40 beers on tap. I reccomend the Pizza or the Nachos!
