Come Correct LSL: Intro to Sexual Health & C-Card Training

This condensed, two half-day training is the introduction training to the Come Correct condom distribution scheme in Lambeth, Southwark and Lewisham. It is compulsory training for all those interested in distributing condoms as part of the scheme.

The training aims to enable participants to confidently address sex and relationships, sexual health and emotional wellbeing with young people at a foundational level.

By the end of the training participants will have gained knowledge and understanding of:

•         Contraception and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs)

•         Identifying risk and providing support through appropriate services

•         Confidentiality, Fraser Guidelines and safeguarding

•         Sexuality, sexual health and relationships and how these are linked to emotional health and wellbeing

•         The law in relation to relationships and substance misuse

•         The correct way to do a condom demonstration

•         How the Come Correct scheme works and what it can offer the young people they work with

09.45am to 1.00pm both days. Zoom details will be sent out prior to the training.

This training course is FREE to professionals working with young people in Lambeth, Southwark or Lewisham. Priority will be given to professionals working in these areas.

In the condensed version, although we will be touching on each of the topics listed, it will not be in as much detail as the usual day-long training. When we are able to train in person once again, you will be very welcome to attend the full day, should you wish to.
