Come & Sing (Small Group Voice Lesson)

Come & Sing:
Join a small, supportive group of singers and spend an evening improving your voice while working on a song together. In this in‑person singing class in Santa Monica (near McCabe's), we’ll focus on building confidence, developing vocal technique, and enjoying the experience of singing with others.

Each session begins with about 20 minutes of guided vocal warmups designed to help you loosen up your voice, improve breath support, and prepare for singing. After warming up, the group will focus on a single song for the remainder of the class. Together we’ll explore melody, phrasing, pitch accuracy, expression, and vocal technique while practicing different sections of the song.

Because the group is small (around 10 singers), everyone gets the chance to sing, receive guidance, and learn by listening to others. The focus is supportive, relaxed, and fun—perfect for beginners as well as singers who want more practice performing in front of others.

At the end of the class, you’ll receive a karaoke-style backing track of the song so you can continue practicing and improving at home.

This class is a great way to grow your voice, meet other singers, and experience the joy of making music together in a collaborative setting.

About Me:

I love all things singing. I love to sing, love to teach singing, love ear training, and love to challenge the voice. I've been in in Los Angeles for15 years teaching, singing, performing, recording, and writing music. I believe everyone can sing and should sing, not just because it feels good but because it's great for the body and mind. Info: We begin with guided vocal warm‑ups to relax the voice, improve breath support, and get everyone comfortable singing together. During this time we’ll also listen to the song we’ll be working on and talk briefly about melody, phrasing, and key moments in the song so everyone understands how it works before we start practicing.

Info: Next, we’ll work through the song section by section, practicing verses, choruses, and transitions while focusing on pitch, rhythm, and expression. As we build the song together, we’ll sing it several times as a group. Toward the end of the class, anyone who wants can practice singing a verse and chorus on their own in a supportive, low‑pressure environment.
