Carolyn Goates, MD of the Suffolk Men’s Chorus, invites you to join her for another special “learn a song in a day” event. Open to everyone, from experienced singers to those who simply love to sing. The day will focus on The Ocean's Love (Umi Sono Ai), a strong and uplifting song by Kousaku Dan, skilfully arranged for lower voices by Rachel Stenson. NOTE: Though originally Japanese, we will learn this song in English! (Mostly)All materials will be provided upon booking a week or so before the event, and there’s no need to prepare in advance. Just bring your enthusiasm for music. At the end of the session, you’ll have the chance to perform the song and share the experience with friends you invite along.
Here is a Japanese version of the song. Again, note, we will learn this in English (just the last chorus in Japanese, if you are up for it)
Please select your voice section preference when booking - ie Tenor 1, Tenor 2, Bass 1 or Bass 2. If you are not sure please select 'I'm not sure which section'. We will make the selection on the day.
Workshop tickets are £20 including booking fee, sheet music and tea/coffee
