Have you been curious about painting miniatures for display, but not sure where to start? This workshop is for you.It is an introduction level workshop that breaks down the big ideas, into simple, practical tools you can use straight away.
We’ll explore what display painting really means, and how to use elements such as light, and colour to communicate your vision. There will be a focus on the practical as well as the theory, on things like how to get the most out of the medium - the paint, and the miniatures themselves.
By the end, you’ll have the confidence and the skills to refine your craft, as well as understand what it is about those inspiring pieces that make them feel that way.
Gorcin Kurejsepi is a well-known and multi-award-winning Perth miniatures and scale model painter who loves realism and the intricacies of miniature painting.
Although we will provide a miniature (to paint on), we encourage you to bring 1-2 minis you've worked on recently that you want feedback on. If you want to work on your own miniature, you're welcome to bring that, too.
