Texas is growing at an unprecedented rate, and likewise, so is the energy demand. Join us at True Texas Project this month as we welcome our speaker, Nancy White, with the Secure the Texas Grid Coalition. This presentation will primarily be about battery energy storage systems ("BESS") which are a reverberating bandaid for solar and wind energy production. Approximately 3,000,000 acres of Texas farmland has been slated for solar, wind, and battery builds. This is not an issue that we can avoid confronting, it is most certainly coming to a county near you, if it hasn't already arrived. There is considerable amounts of tax payer funding involved, environmental and health costs, impact on property value and insurance, and a glaring concern around cyber security vulnerabilities in the hardware with evidence to prove it.Speaker: Nancy White

About Nancy White:
Nancy White is a wife, mother, and homeschool teacher turned activist. Nancy is a tireless advocate and activist for the causes of energy independence in Texas and the security of our electric grid. Her efforts have made numerous headlines in local, state, national, and international media. Nancy also has her very own TV show called Overlooked Critical Matters as well as President/Owner of a non-profit called Legislative Energy Action Foundation. She speaks out frequently concerning the security of our infrastructure/grid as well as transparency on vulnerabilities within BESS technology.
