About this Event
The climate adaptation / carbon neutral transition is urgent … but it’s much more than a technical task. For success, technology and material changes have to somehow fit with economic, social, political, ecological and cultural systems – all of them being ‘VUCA-MULE’ – volatile, uncertain, controversial, ambiguous, multi-level and existential.
Either we leave all these combinations to chance – or – we look for some kind of collective climatic intelligence which can put them together. This is the mutual learning, co-creation and collaboration between a wider community of interest, with deeper layers of value, and further horizons of change and transformation.
In that light we launch this very topical phase of ‘Collective-climatic intelligence’: (www.manchester.ac.uk/synergistics/collective-net-zero-intelligence/ ), with a workshop series through 2026:
- Climate-wise: interactive workshop 19thFeb 11-1300. University of Manchester – please register on
- This is a pilot for new methods of Foresight-CHAI (‘Collective Human-Artificial Intelligence’). This is the UK part of an international R&D program with Manchester, Beijing & Kolkata, as on .
- The main aim is to focus on the CHI (‘collective human intelligence’) of the challenge, and the opportunity: using the new potential of AI to enhance the human capacity for synergies and strategies.
