About this Event
Discover the magical powers of collage in this uplifting Sunday morning workshop.
Through thoughtfully designed exercises, you’ll explore ways to release stress, ease anxiety, and express your emotions using paper, texture, and imagery.
We’ll begin with a brief introduction to basic collage techniques and materials. Then, you’ll respond to a series of guided prompts to create your own collages. We’ll end with time to share and reflect on what you’ve made — no pressure, just the joy of connecting through art.
No prior art experience is needed. This is a supportive, welcoming space to slow down, explore your feelings, and enjoy creative expression.
This workshop is designed for adults, but children ages 10+ are welcome with parental supervision.
All materials are provided, though you’re welcome to bring any books, magazines, or photocopies of personal photos you’d like to use.
Taught by Stacey Burgay, an artist, founding member of NY Collage Ensemble and Director of That Creative Space in Beacon, NY. Stacey has exhibited her work internationally in New York, Paris, and Norway. Her collage-based practice explores themes of identity, self-reflection, and community, and she is passionate about creating spaces where people can connect through creativity.
