Come collage in queer community! Let your creativity flow here in the center of our cozy bookstore. Meet new people and relax while creating something personal.
This event is hosted by @collagesbymichael (on Instagram), a local artist who will bring books and magazines with which to create personal collages. The theme of the night will be "diary/journal." We'll spend the evening creating, and there will be optional time at the end to share about your piece.
Michael McGuckin is a New York–based artist and musician working with collage. Their work explores characters, media imagery, and surreal environments, assembling found materials into layered compositions that blur memory, identity, and perception. They are interested in tension between control and chaos, and how images reshape meaning.
Our coffee and tea bar will be open for the duration of the event. We offer a full menu of hot and iced espresso and tea beverages, along with pastries and snacks.
