About this Event
CUT // STICK // SHARE with the lazy susans
Led by Holly, Kaia and Mala, each session will bring new themes, reimaginings and questions to explore via cutting, ripping and sticking. No prior art experience needed!
Using second-hand magazines collected from local charity shops, hairdressers, hotel guests and neighbours, the session breathes new life into those glossy pages - not hiding the snips, transformations and selections from the Collage Cafe before. Collage has a rich history infused with activism, experimentation and art therapy and has been intrinsic to the Lazy Susan's curatorial and artistic practice, so they can provide assistance if you get stuck (pun intended).
Each session begins with a collaborative exercise to get those creative hands and minds warmed up, before entering the hour long collaging free flow. Experimentation, playing and sharing is encouraged. Materials, scissors and glue are all provided, but feel free to bring along your own mags if you like! The bar will be open, so why not treat yourself to a KRAFT beer or a Jim & Tonic.
****If you order a ticket but can no longer make it please cancel ahead of time so someone else can join us instead. Likewise, if the event is sold old, please message us and we can try to squeeze you in****
