About this Event

* Please note this session is for HPMA members only**

*This session is for those in HR/OD/ Workforce roles**

Summary

There is increasing recognition that culture is the key ingredient for building a flourishing

workforce in health and care. Trust and psychological safety are critical aspects of this, but

often poorly understood in practice – both what they are, and how they can be built. This

workshop brings together experts from the fields of transformational leadership and health

and care dialogue for success to work with participants to explore this further.

Session Outcomes/Aims

1. Participants will explore the notion of ‘trust’ and ‘psychological safety’.

2. Participants will learn about how to create the conditions of trust and psychological safety.

3. Participants will develop practical skills in conversations for collaboration.

4. Participants will consider the application of this for handling conflict in the workplace.

Who this workshop is for

This workshop is for any HR or OD professional who is interested in hearing about this area of

high importance for health and care practice and interested to consider how to build trust

and psychological safety to transform the cultures in their organisations.

Session Facilitators

The session will be run by two facilitators: Professor Dr Durka Dougall and Tricia Boyle.
