His deeply personal lyrics and gravelly delivery connect with listeners on a level that goes beyond trends. Steel Toes and Texacos is no exception, offering a collection of songs that tell the story of a restless soul navigating love, heartbreak, and the uncertainty of what comes next.

Each of the five tracks on Steel Toes and Texacos was co-written by Phillips, further cementing his reputation as a songwriter with a unique perspective and a voice that cuts straight to the core. From the dusty roads of "West Tx" to the introspective depths of “Junk Drawer”, the EP captures the highs and lows of young adulthood with honesty and grit. Produced by Trevor Thornton, the project blends traditional country storytelling with the raw energy of red dirt and rock, nodding to his influences—Hank Williams Jr., David Allan Coe, Zach Bryan, Cody Jinks, Nirvana, and Metallica—while maintaining a sound that is distinctly his own.
