Join us in welcoming spring by planting native trees that support threatened native pollinators!
About this Event

Learn how to plant and care for bare-root trees, discover the importance of woody plants for caterpillars, bumblebees and more, and enjoy refreshments on a beautiful farm setting. Hosted by the Glynwood Center for Regional Food and Farming and Partners for Climate Action.

Planting holes will be pre-dug and volunteer tasks will include planting young trees, adding tree tubes for deer protection, and spreading mulch. Participants should be comfortable navigating a working farm landscape with possible areas of uneven or muddy terrain. Kids 10+ are welcome; please no pets.

What to wear and bring: We recommend bringing a water bottle, hat, and clean gardening gloves. Please wear sturdy clothes and mud-free boots to help us prevent the spread of invasive jumping worms. Restrooms, water, and snacks will be available onsite. Glynwood's Farm Store will be open from 10-2pm, stop by for local produce, pasture-raised meat, and other regionally produced goodies!

This event will take place rain or shine except in the case of extreme weather conditions. Participants will be contacted with any changes.
