Students will learn cold process soap making with local herbalist, Deb Waldinger of Calcite & Comfrey. We’ll go through the process beginning with safety precautions when working with lye, through to curing your own soap. Students will be provided with the recipe used in class, as well as the soap they’ve made (once cured).During this course students will be learning and making a basic soap recipe which they will be able to personalize with scent variations with a limited selection of essence oils (students are welcome to bring their own) .
