Featured performer:
In contrast with his growing body of ambient work, for the past several years Dalton Alexander has been writing and performing fingerstyle guitar pieces. The songs are intricate, melodic, and highly specific – drawing inspiration from various creatures of the natural world, Michael Collins' lonesome voyage around the moon, and Bilbo Baggins’ 111th Birthday Party, just to name a few. Whether or not the audience knows the detailed story behind each track, they are transported somewhere new with every listen.
Open stage:
Have 2 or 3 songs to share? Maybe some poetry or magic? Show up, sign up, and you get 12 minutes to perform for one of the most welcoming audiences in town. Bring your own instrument(s). Admission is free if you are performing.
