From 10 - 11:30 a.m., the department will host Coffee with a Cop in the police department training room. This free event offers a relaxed setting where community members can enjoy a cup of coffee while talking with officers, asking questions, sharing concerns and getting to know the people who serve their community.
From 10 a.m. – 2 p.m., outside of the police training room, the department will participate in the DEA’s National Drug Take-Back Day. A prescription drug drop-off will be available, providing a safe and convenient way to dispose of unused or expired prescription medications. Proper disposal helps prevent medication misuse, protects our environment and keeps potentially dangerous drugs out of the wrong hands.
Also, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (or until trucks are full), the Arizona Attorney General’s Office is partnering with the Bullhead City Police Department to host a Shred-a-Thon in the police department parking lot. Community members can bring personal documents (five box shred limit) to be securely shredded to help protect against identity theft. Binders or binder clips will not be accepted.
The Bullhead City Police Department encourages the community to stop by, meet local officers, safely dispose of old medications and protect personal information through secure document shredding.
