About this Event
Did you know that your cup of coffee in the morning most likely went through some kind of fermentation process? This transformation is largely responsible for the various aromas and nuances that we enjoy on a daily basis. Alexis from Edible Alchemy has been exploring the world of coffee fermentation in El Salvador with Productor Coffee this harvest season (January / February 2024) and will share her explorations. We are looking to understand spontaneous fermentation to controlled / directed fermentation. Anaerobic vs aerobic. 0 to 48h to 120 h fermentation and beyond. We will have an interactive discussion and Edible Alchemy will provide some alchemical treats such as coffee kombucha to take things one step further. Bring your questions, thoughts, ideas and curious tastebuds!
