Presented by the authors of the book, Freo Groove (also known as local folk duo, Sea Swallow), "Coffee & Lyrics" brings together some of Western Australia's top musicians and writers for a special, listening room experience at the Hybrid Warehouse in Fremantle.In this sixth show in the series, we'll be showcasing singer-songwriter Rose Parker and poet, Patrick McCarthy.
Rose is an award-winning and much-loved singer/songwriter/guitarist who has woven her magic through the Australian musical landscape for over 2 decades, drawing from folk, alt-country, blues-rock and gospel.
Our guest poet, Patrick McCarthy has attempted many times to simply give up and become a properly cynical, miserable writer but he's just not cool enough. His irritatingly incorrigible optimism defies despair. His poems are about love, connection and laughing riotously at yourself (sounds like just what we need!)

Sea Swallow will set the mood with a few songs to warm up the room, while folk get their coffee and settle in for the show.
