
About this Event
Join us for a monthly social group hosted by ParaQuad Tasmania, designed to foster peer connection, community engagement, and wellbeing for people with spinal cord injury and physical disability. The group will meet at Hamlet Café in Hobart and offer participants a free coffee, courtesy of ParaQuad Tasmania, as part of a welcoming and inclusive social catch-up.
Purpose
· To reduce social isolation and encourage peer connection among ParaQuad members.
· To create a relaxed and regular opportunity for individuals with physical disability to engage with others who share lived experiences.
· To support ongoing wellbeing and build stronger community ties in a casual, accessible setting.
Location: Hamlet Café, 40 Molle Street, Hobart (an inclusive social enterprise café with accessible facilities).
Frequency: Monthly (i.e, Last Monday of each month)
Time: 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM (1 hr)
Participants: ParaQuad Tasmania members and individuals who use a wheelchair or live with spinal cord injury or physical disability and their support networks
Cost: Free for attendees with disability – ParaQuad Tasmania will sponsor one regular coffee or beverage per participant, requires registration via EventBrite for catering purposes.
Structure: Informal drop-in format with optional conversation prompts, resource handouts, and occasional guest peers or staff attending.
