Join us on Sunday, Apr. 26th for Half Moon Bay State Beach’s annual Coastal Wildflower Day, as we celebrate the diversity of our coastal environment and protect what grows here . The festivities will run from 10 am - 2 pm at Half Moon Bay State Beach - Venice Beach. This community celebration will feature local food vendors Alebrije’s Oaxacan Food Truck and FishWife Sweets, performances by local musicians and dancers, and a number of community organizations sharing resources, fun crafts, and activities! In addition, we will also have guided walks led by State Parks staff, a professional facepainter, and several raffle drawings–all free for eventgoers!
If you pick up an event “passport" at the Coastside State Parks Association booth and fill it up with stamps from our partner booths, you can go home with a little something to help you plant your own seeds at home! Or you can purchase a mature plant that's ready to be put into the ground, grown by our very own volunteers! Event updates and full schedule can be found on our website: coastalwildflowerday.org.
This event is free, but the day use parking fee is $10. This State Beach is on the path of the California Coastal Trail–you can avoid traffic, and ride your bike in or walk in for free!
