About this Event
COAST-R Network Annual Forum Year 3 - 25th June 2026, The Spine, Liverpool
Coast-R is a UKRI-funded network of academics, local government, regulators, businesses, and community groups dedicated to the development of resilient coastal communities.
The "red thread" of this year’s conference is the three pillars of sustainability (economic, social and environmental):
Morning Session: We will focus on the economic and social pillars, examining how public-private partnerships, social value, and innovative funding mechanisms can drive local investment and regional regeneration. The session will conclude with a panel Q&A, allowing for an open exchange of ideas between speakers and participants.
Afternoon Session: The focus shifts toward the environmental and social pillars. Participants can choose between two pathways: one session will focus on planning for coastal change, while the other will explore diverse methods for community engagement.
Throughout the day, presentations from speakers will be complemented by interactive workshops designed to foster collaboration. These sessions will provide a space for attendees to engage with the themes and develop a deeper understanding through shared practice.
