About this Event

Dr Andrew Seaton (History, UCL), author of Our NHS: A History of Britain's Best-Loved Institution (2023), will be presenting a chapter from his current book-project on The Ends of Coal, particularly chapters on the unlikely post-war alliance between environmentalists and the national coal board during industrial land reclamations, framed as a way of solving land pressures in Britain. Andrew will be in conversation with Professor Danny Dorling (Geography, Oxford).
