About this Event
A day of training in practical coaching skills, equipping you to hold one to one conversations that help others grow.
This workshop is ideal for managers wanting to add coaching techniques to their skillset, church leaders wanting to explore coaching as a tool for one to one discipleship, and anyone interested in helping individuals to grow closer to God or develop their leadership capacity through coaching.
Tools we will cover
You will learn three specific tools that can be used in conversations…
- The GROW model, one of the most popular and flexible coaching tools, developed by John Whitmore.
- A more simple coaching model that can be used in almost any conversation situation.
- The MENTOR model, specifically developed by One Rock as a technique to help in mentoring conversations.
We will also cover the differences and commonalities between coaching and mentoring, and useful questions to help any coaching conversation go well.
Resources we will give out
You’ll also receive a series of resources to help your coaching going forwards…
- A bumper book of over 500 coaching questions.
- Sample coaching agreements.
- Access to Pathways; modules of curriculum plus coaching outlines that can be used to set up internal coaching or discipleship programmes within your church or network.
Pathways launch
Church or charity leaders involved with discipleship may be especially interested in the Pathways modules. These are a free series of courses created by One Rock that cover critical discipleship issues and will enable you to resource mature members of your congregation or organisation to hold intentional, one-to-one growth conversations with younger members from your church or network. This day will be the ‘sneak preview’ launch of Pathways, before its official launch later in the year.
Tea and coffee will be served through the day. Lunch is not provided. The £10 goes towards the refreshment costs.
