Classical mat Pilates focuses on a series of movements designed to strengthen and lengthen the muscles of the body, particularly the core muscles. Pilates was developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates, and the classical mat Pilates class follows many of the same principles and movements that he created.
This class will focus on developing strong, stable core muscles, improving flexibility and balance, and promoting overall physical fitness and wellness. The exercises are performed in a slow, controlled manner, with an emphasis on proper form and alignment. Participants are encouraged to connect their breath with their movements and to maintain a mindful, focused approach throughout the class.
