Coach Tevin Mims at his Sunday Night Lights Football Camp!
About this Event
This camp session are designed to develop a foundation of fundamentals while enhancing their skills as it translates to the game of football
As an athlete you will be coached by one of the best young defensive coaches in the profession, Tevin Mims. Tevin is a local native of Austin. He played on the Big 12 Team in 2009 at the University of Texas, also was a Team Captain and Defensive MVP at the University of South Florida. After a brief stint with the Miami Dolphins, Tevin went on to coach the last 7 seasons at the college level first at Texas Tech with players such as Patrick Mahomes and Jordyn Brooks. Then at Texas State, coaching players such as Frankie Griffin, Ben and Levi Bell.
The camp will be roughly about 90 minutes!
The first section will consist of General drills and footwork. Also working on things such as leverage, tackling, routes, and ball security.
The last portion will feature a form of ultimate football called “Money Ball”. Players are divided into teams to play a game like situation. 3 games at 10 mins each. 2/3 rounds the winner is crowed with prize at the end.
