Join us for another fun night out at the CNM Social! We are located at Belvederes Ultra-Dive! It's a lovely queer-friendly space in Lawrenceville that offers great drinks, music, pool tables, and plenty of space to connect.
Consensual Non-Monogamy (CNM) is the practice of having multiple connections with the consent of all parties involved. Relationship dynamics are different for everybody, and we want to create a space to learn more and get to know other people who are exploring it too.
Feel free to stop by whenever you can make it and make a new friend! We are here for the connections!
⭐ Guidelines on How to Connect in this Space ⭐
We want to co-create a safe space to choose you own adventure without the pressure or expectations of others. You might be here to make friends, or lovers, or find your people, or find someone to go to shows with, or have craft nights together, or start a biz with, or just explore new people with no expectations at all! All of that is okay here!
This is a safe space for the consensually non-monogamous but anyone who is looking for friends or wants to learn about CNM is welcome! The only thing we ask is that you are nonjudgemental of other relationship styles. CNM folks are often isolated from their friends and family so having friends that aren't going to blame everything on the relationship style is an amazing feeling! We do not judge anyone for how they practice CNM and believe everyone has their own journey. If anyone at our events says otherwise, please remind them that we do not do that here!
We do not ask for phone numbers or contact info in this space. Instead, we write our own contact info on a note card and hand it to the person we want to connect to. We live in a society that doesn't always enable us to say a true yes or no and the cards are meant to take away the pressure.
When you hand someone your info, there is no expectation of it being reciprocated. You do not know the reasons the other person is at this event, or their backstory, or their trauma, or if they are oversaturated, or if they JUST don't feel like it today! If they throw away your card, that has nothing to do with you! We are all complex humans with complex lives so let's give people the benefit of the doubt and find the people that have the space for connection with us.
This type of space is a co-creation! If someone isn't following the guidelines, you can gently let them know that "We do not do that here" and show them what we do instead. Let's build a safer and more consensual community together!

We are a group of CNM folks trying to build more community in Pittsburgh and would love to collaborate on future events.
