CND Campus Grand Opening

We're excited to announce that Community for New Direction is opening the doors to its second building on Livingston Avenue!

For years, CND has stood as a steady presence for youth and families – offering mentorship, education, mental health services, substance use treatment, and pathways to healing and opportunity. This new building represents not just a physical expansion, but a reflection of decades of commitment, resilience, and belief in what’s possible for our community.

The space will house administrative offices and community event space, creating room for collaboration, connection, and expanded programming. It allows our team to work more effectively behind the scenes while also opening the doors wider to the neighborhood we serve.
But the vision doesn’t stop there. Our current building on Livingston will soon be home to a child care center – a decision rooted in both mission and sustainability. By leasing the space, CND will generate consistent income that strengthens the organization’s foundation for generations to come while also investing in today’s children and ensuring the long-term stability of the programs that support youth, adults, and families across our community.
We hope you will join us at our upcoming Open House to tour the new space, meet our team, and celebrate this exciting milestone together. This building belongs to the community, and its future will be shaped by all of us.

Info: The program will begin with remarks from CND leadership, who will welcome guests to the CND campus and recognize the staff, partners, architects, funders, and community members who made this vision possible. We will also hear brief remarks from local and state leaders and offer a special blessing for the new space. This moment represents more than a new building—it reflects CND’s long-term investment in community stability, generational wealth, and sustainable resources that will support our mission for decades to come. The ceremony will conclude with the official ribbon-cutting to commemorate this exciting new chapter.
