Symposium Brass members have performed extensively with all of New Zealand’s professional orchestras and with artists and bands ranging from James Morrison and Diana Krall to The Black Seeds and Salmonella Dub.
Their programme will bring together the best of the orchestral and jazz worlds, including the world premiere of "Progression" by Symposium Brass trumpeter and composer Cameron Pearce, which pulls colours from composers Aaron Copland, Steve Reich, and Gabriel Fauré along with trumpeters Kenny Wheeler and Ron Miles, and new material composed by Pearce for this tour.
