Sponsored by Commercial Metals of Springfield, the CMC Recycling 5K (3.1 miles) is great for runners and walkers who want to have fun while achieving their fitness goals. This is the perfect race to do with family and friends! Strollers are allowed on the 5K course but must start at the back of the startline. The CMC 5K shares the last several miles of the Bass Pro Conservation Marathon and the Cohick Half Marathon routes. Participants in the CMC Recycling 5K will complete their race before most of the half marathoners enter this part of the course. The route starts in front of Bass Pro Shops and takes participants through the neighborhoods behind Bass Pro. Participants will finish in front of the Wonders of Wildlife National Museum & Aquarium.
A great finish line waits for all 5K finishers, along with a medal to celebrate your accomplishment!
