Cluster for Research in Coaching (CRiC) Local Meeting - Liverpool 2026
Get ready for an in-person gathering of coaching enthusiasts! The CRiC Local Meeting in vibrant Liverpool is the perfect chance to connect, share ideas, and dive into the latest sport coaching research. Welcoming to early career and established researchers, the day will include:
1) Opportunities to present 'lightening talks (5 slides in 5 mins)', and 'work in progress'. Ideal for people to share their ideas, or early drafts of presentations ahead of CRiC summer conference in Stirling.
2) Full presentations of the latest coaching research
3 ) A keynote presentation on a contemporary coaching
4) Time and relaxed spaces to connect and reconnect with the coaching community.
We invite you to this friendly event, which provides an excellent opportunity to critically discuss coaching. We recognise that coaching is complex, different in different contexts, and generally worth considering deeply. Typically CRiC involves theoretical presentations that constructively question everyday coaching practices and seek to provide innovative and alternative perspectives. CRiC events at LJMU are respectful, collegial, and provide time for friendly and thoughtful coaching discussions. Delegates will often leave feeling connected, supported, and enthused with new coaching ideas or new ways of looking at coaching.
