Clowning - Body, Presence and Play with Silvia Leblon (BR)The clown mirrors human imperfection, fragility and perplexity facing life. It represents the ability to laugh at oneself and thus brings lightness in the depth.
This workshop uses particular games, dynamics and physical explorations to delve into varied states of being. It is a joyful and moving creative process, which enables us to access a very liberating feeling of authenticity and spontaneity of being all that we are.

DETAILS:
The workshop presents physical training as a means of building an extra-daily state, ripe for the exercise of play, of ridicule and ingenuous. Through scenic games and the use of personal resources as creative material - body, imagery, memory, objects, garment - each participant can explore the construction and/ or maintenance of their clown. The workshop also serves wonderfully as a practice and training for initiated and experienced clowns!

SILVIA LEBLON is one of the most recognised teachers of clowning in Brazil. Founder of the nucleus NaCompanhiaDosAnjos in Sao Paulo, for more than 20 years Silvia is dedicated to researching and training the art of the actor/clown/performer. She acts, directs, produces shows and gives workshops and trainings in Sao Paulo as well as in other states of Brazil and Portugal. After an early career as actress on theatre, cinema and TV, she got in touch with clowning through LUME - the world reference interdisciplinary center for theatre researches of Unicamp, SP. Silvia's work is specially influenced by the encounter with the canadian Sue Morrison and "The Clown Through Masks, the sacred clown of the North American Indians”(Richard Pochinko), which gave birth to her solo: Spirulina in SPATHÓDEA, directed by Ricardo Puccetti (LUME Teatro). The piece was eight times awarded.
