A clowning, improv, and nonviolent communication workshop in 2 parts (IN ENGLISH)2 days of basic introduction + 2 days of deepening clowning skills

Objective:
This course will enable you to broaden your range of acting, creativity and
communication tools, to deepen your clowning and become the creator of your performance, your story, and your life.
Dare to be a clown and discover the essence of clowning:
Clowning, vocal and emotional body training, explorations followed by improvisations and linked to theatre impro.
Work on energy and interaction.
Work on your desires, pleasure, conviction, pretexts and challenges for entering the stage.
Perfecting your characters and your clowning: voice, body, clothes
Expand your range of acting and clowning tools.
Dare to express yourself authentically and vulnerably.
Develop your imagination and creativity.
We also use Nonviolent Communication Tools to interact and to connect.
Training and relationship building, and some days will end with a relaxation session or take away.
Practical group work led by Istvan Van Heuverzwyn, trainer with follow-up -tools used: clowning, improvisational theatre, Nonviolent Communication, Emotional Regulation, etc.
Assisted by Anniken Poulsson Beer, certified trainer in Nonviolent Communication, and educated in drama and theatre for children.
You can join for 2 days (Saturday April 12. and Sunday April 13., from 10.00 – 17.00)
or 4 days (Saturday April 12. and Sunday April 13., from 10.00 – 17.00, and then Monday April 14 + Tuesday April 15, 12.00-19.00) Monday and Tuesday starts with a light lunch meal together before the workshop, included in the price.
PRICES
Regular: 3000 NOK for 2 days, 5000 NOK for 4 days
Students/unemployed etc: 2000 NOK for 2 days, 3500 NOK for 4 days
For participants from Retretten: 1500 NOK for 2 days, 2500 NOK for 4 days
All levels, no particular skills required, but:
The work requires a high level of personal commitment and may involve some soul-searching. Good physical and mental condition is recommended.

Payment dates and cancellation policy
To secure your spot, pay by March 15.
Any cancellation before March 15 will be fully refunded.
If you cancel your seat before April 1, we will refund 50% of your fee.
If you cancel after April 1, no refund, but you can transfer your seat to someone else.
More about the trainers:
Istvan Van Heuverzwyn is a professional actor who trained clowning and mime with Marcel Marceau and went to Jacques Lecoq School. He has been teaching clowning for more than 20 years and conducting research to the contribution of clowning in personal, artistic and professional development. He also uses nonviolent communication to share clowning, to connect and work on emotions. He lives with his family in France but works also abroad.
Anniken Poulsson Beer has worked in early childhood education for many years, has been working in teacher training with drama, has been an actor in puppet theater for children, and done basic clown training with Vivian Gladwell. She has studies Nonviolent communication for 18 years and has been a certified trainer with Centre for Nonviolent Communnication since 2012. She lives near Fredrikstad and works both local, national and internationally.
