MAX 50 SPOTS!Howdy partner! We're fixin' to invite y'all to the Dirty No Man's land of Follo, or as we call it, DNF GRVL! This here adventure ride is 100 miles (160 for ya metric folks) of the most beautiful gravel roads in Norway's Toscana. Y'all will be sent a GPS-file of the route 24 hours before the start, so bring your best recon skills.
98% of the ride is ridable, but expect a few challenges to test your grit!
Now listen up, cowboys and cowgirls, this ride is a social one with free speed, but you gotta follow them traffic rules. There ain't no prices for fastest riders, so don't go gettin' your spurs in a twist.
We'll have a water stop and a snack stop along the way, and finish it all off with a smoking barbecue and a cold one at Hvervenbukta. Y'all finishers get a prize, but you gotta make it to the finish line by 7.30 pm!
We'll start the ride at 07.30 am and you should be expectin' to arrive between 4-7 pm. The distance is 100 miles, and the ride type is pure cowboy - social with a free pace. You can partner up with other riders and make a group, but be prepared to split apart as the ride goes on. There'll be an official feed stop halfway in Kråkstad and water oasis quarterly. The roads will be mostly gravel, tractor roads, and some county roads with tarmac. Y'all can expect an elevation gain of 2000 meters, and a few sections of more challenging surface that might require you to walk a few times.
Now listen up, y'all need a well-working GPS unit 'cause there ain't no marshals or signs to guide ya. We'll provide the route with a gpx-file two days before the ride. Remember, the route follows open roads and trails, so be nice and respectful to others using the roads. Y'all gotta be self-supported and cannot expect mechanical help along the way. We'll have support personnel before the start and at the feed stop in Kråkstad, but you're on your own after that. And don't go forgettin', y'all need to take responsibility for your own safety and make sure you're well covered by insurance.
This ride is open to all y'all cowboys and cowgirls out there, as long as you're capable and ready for a long day on the saddle. We recommend a Gravel or CX bike, but you ride what you have/want. And if Covid restrictions make us have to cancel, we'll refund your entry fee (except for the administration fee of NOK 30). Y'all will receive instructions on the latest Covid regulations to follow during the ride.
So saddle up, grab your hat, and get ready for an epic day on the trails!
