About this Event
Event Overview:
Join us for an impactful morning of fellowship, food, and discussion at the Closing The Gap: Pastor’s Brunch. As spiritual leaders, pastors are entrusted with guiding and uplifting the total well-being of their congregations and communities. At this inaugural brunch, we’ll dive into an often-overlooked concern: the health disparities that impact Black men.
Why This Matters:
African American men face unique health challenges, living shorter and often sicker lives than others in our nation. The need for awareness and action is urgent. This event, hosted by the Dallas Black Men’s Wellness Planning Committee in partnership with Pastor Hal Johnson Sr. of Christian Stronghold Church, offers a collaborative space for faith leaders to explore how they can help close the health gap. Our goal is to empower our communities with the tools and resources necessary to improve Black men’s health.
What to Expect:
- Plan to Action Presentation: The African American Male Wellness Agency will outline an actionable strategy to improve the health of Black men within our churches, families, and communities.
- Engagement and Partnership: We invite you to bring your perspective and ideas. This is a learning session and an opportunity to join a growing movement that supports Black men’s wellness.
- Networking and Fellowship: Connect with other pastors and leaders who share a passion for positive change in our communities.
Who Should Attend:
Pastors, faith leaders, or a representative from your ministry who is ready to partner in championing health and wellness within the community.
