Clinton Fearon is a legendary reggae singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose career spans more than five decades. Born in Jamaica, he rose to prominence as a key member of the iconic roots reggae group The Gladiators, where he served as bassist, vocalist, and principal songwriter. During his time with the band, Fearon penned and performed classic tracks such as โChatty Chatty Mouth,โ โRich Man Poor Man,โ and โLet Jah Be Praised,โ helping define the sound of roots reggae in the 1970s.
Since launching his solo career in the late 1980s, Fearon has continued to evolve his sound while staying deeply rooted in reggae tradition. Now based in Seattle, he performs with his band The Boogie Brown Band and remains a powerful voice in conscious reggae, blending soulful melodies with thoughtful, uplifting lyrics that speak to unity, justice, and human connection.
