About this Event
The NAM Action Collaborative on Decarbonizing the U.S. Health Sector (Climate Collaborative), through its Health Care Delivery and Policy, Financing, and Metrics Working Groups, is hosting a Building Momentum to Act on Health Care Decarbonization webinar series this winter, focusing on sharing resources and building the momentum to act on health care decarbonization.
This Clinicians Leading System-Wide Environmental Sustainability Transformation webinar will explore how clinicians can lead system-wide sustainability initiatives in health care, building on strategies beyond daily practice to drive organizational and systemic change. Dr. Lisa Patel (Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health), Gary Cohen (Health Care Without Harm) and Dr. Paige Fox (Stanford Medicine), joined by Dr. Beth Schenk (Providence), will discuss clinical sustainability practices, such as modifying surgical preference cards and promoting high-value care, while addressing barriers like infection control and patient safety. Attendees will also learn best practices for influencing institutions, professional societies, and policies to advance environmental sustainability across health care systems.
