Workshop to understand the current landscape of climate action in municipalities across Canada & opportunities to take action where you live
About this Event

Are you curious about the progress that local governments are making across Canada? Do you want to know what opportunities exist for you to add to the cause? Join us for the launch of The Climate Reality Project Canada's new report that maps out community progress on climate policy and initiatives at the local level. Together, we'll explore what actions we can take.

This workshop will cover:

  • Report findings on climate initiatives at the local level
  • Opportunities for municipalities to take climate action
  • How you can start to build climate resilience in your own municipality

About the Organizations:

(WTC) is a grassroots Vancouver-based non-profit that seeks to dismantle intersecting systems of oppression to transform where we live into places of social, economic and political equity. They do this with an intersectional feminist lens through civic literacy and education, research, advocacy and collaboration. Become a member of WTC.

was founded and chaired by Nobel Laureate and former US Vice President Al Gore. The Climate Reality Project is dedicated to catalyzing a global solution to the climate crisis by making urgent action a necessity across every level of society. To tackle climate change, we focus on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions as its main culprit, and on education and grassroots action as the solution.
