Join us for an engaging conversation exploring the relationships between our dwindling biodiversity and the food systems that sustain us.
About this Event

To avoid the worst climate outcomes, we need to protect and restore ecosystems that naturally store carbon while preventing the loss of one million endangered species . We not only have a fossil fuel problem, we have a land problem – as natural habitats and the biodiversity they sustain, succumb to agricultural expansion.

Our event is hosted by the founders of two wildlife conservation non-profits: Sue Orloff , the Director of Biologists without Borders, and Wendy Hapgood, Co-Founder of Wild Tomorrow & Professor at Columbia University focused on sustainability.

Our special guest speaker is Michael Grunwald. He is the bestselling author of two widely acclaimed books and former staff writer for the Washington Post, Time Magazine, and Politico. He will be speaking about his new book “We are eating the Earth” addressing the unsustainability of our current agricultural food system and how fixing it is key to fixing the climate crisis.

The event will also include a NYC premiere screening of the upbeat, award-winning short animated film, The Straight Poop, produced by Biologists without Borders (4 minutes)
