Built to Save Lives: Health Systems in a Time of Tough Choices
Major cuts in global health funding are forcing policymakers, health workers, implementers, advocates, and local communities to make difficult choices—deciding which lifesaving services to scale back or cut entirely. In this climate, strong health systems are not a luxury; they are the foundation that determines whether people live or die.
At this year’s UN General Assembly, Management Sciences for Health (MSH), in partnership with Project Hope and mothers2mothers will convene a panel of experts to explore the often overlooked yet essential role of strong health systems in delivering lifesaving care across diverse contexts—from conflict zones to stable economies—and the risks of neglecting this critical work.
Reception to follow.
