About this Event
Climate change is a major business risk. Failing to address that risk can be costly. Yet recent industry surveys confirm that relatively few port and waterway operators have taken the urgent action needed to strengthen resilience and adapt. Join PIANC USA and presenter Jeremy Giovando as they share PIANC’s latest guidance on the business case for investment in adaptation in this 45-minute webinar.
As the climate changes, port and waterway assets and operations are increasingly exposed to changes in temperature, precipitation, and sea level. They also face more frequent atypical or extreme hydrometeorological and oceanographic events.
Learn about existing drivers to strengthen resilience and how potential costs and benefits can be identified and quantified to support the case for investment. Dr. Giovando will cover the triple dividend, loss-avoidance, and finance, insurance, and regulatory considerations, including those of climate-related risk disclosure.
There has never been a better time to reconsider your climate preparedness and make the necessary investments to protect your critical port and waterway assets. Register for PIANC USA’s upcoming webinar today!
