Climate & Your Cash is your opportunity to discover sustainably focused individuals and organizations creating real change in the financial, investment and insurance worlds!
This is a speaker series on the impact of climate change on our personal finances with the goal of providing Ottawa residents with tips and practical advice on:
- divesting retirement funds and banking from Fossil Fuel industries
- what to look for in investment/financial organizations when re-investing retirement savings in a zero-carbon future
- startegies for climate-aware investing at the beginning of a career to early retirement
- opportunities for re-investing in your local community

Info: Ottawa Renewable Energy Co-operative (OREC) champions collaborations with property owners, community groups, and all levels of government to identify, develop, fund, and manage progressive renewable energy projects. With 33 projects completed (26 solar, 2 wind, 5 energy retrofits), OREC has raised over $15 million in local investments directly from members. Our work provides regular returns to our member investors, helps reduce Ontario's energy costs and emissions, and demonstrates leadership in innovation by advocating for Community Solar and Virtual Power Plants.

Local Investment Product - 2025 Housing Forever Bonds

Info: Two leading Ottawa non-profits, the Ottawa Community Land Trust (OCLT) and Centretown Citizens Ottawa Corporation (CCOC), have come together to launch a bold new initiative – The Housing Forever Bonds campaign – uniting their missions to protect and expand affordable housing in Ottawa.
To meet the growing demand for affordable housing in Ottawa, via preservation and new development, OCLT and CCOC are together marketing Housing Forever Bonds – a shared community bond campaign allowing individuals and institutions to invest directly in the future of housing in their city.
Investors will be able to invest in OCLT bonds, CCOC bonds or both.
