For our money, Clerks: The Animated Series is the single greatest entry in Kevin Smith’s View Askewniverse, a perfectly calibrated mini-masterpiece of animated sitcommery that brough Dante, Randal, Jay and Silent Bob onto the small screen with sharp jokes, clever ideas, and even a bit of heart. Wildly mistreated upon its initial release by ABC, which aired only two episodes out of order before burning off the rest on Comedy Central. But the series found new life on DVD where it deservedly gained a cult following.
