In just five years, Walking For Rochester has grown from a grassroots effort into a citywide movement—removing thousands of pounds of litter, one cleanup at a time.Next month marks our 5-year anniversary. And what better way to celebrate than by launching our fifth official program:
Cleanups on the Water.
This new initiative takes our proven approach off the streets and directly into Rochester’s rivers and shoreline trails. With volunteers on foot and in boats, we're expanding our mission to protect the waterways that connect our communities.

📝 A 2025 waiver is required for participation
