Clean Slate RI Launches Landmark Bill and Press Conference.
Legislators, community leaders, and representatives from the national Clean Slate Initiative will come together to launch the Clean Slate RI campaign. The press conference will include sponsors of the new Clean Slate legislation as well as sponsors of important, partner bills that will expand fair chance opportunities to people with old criminal records. Come learn about how this campaign will help Rhode Islanders to remove barriers to employment and housing. Following the remarks there will be a short Q&A session with bill sponsors and supporters.
The Governor's Suite in the RI State House is across from the library and in between the House and Senate floor.
