About this Event
We’re delighted to announce that the UK National Clean Maritime Research Hub will host its Clean Maritime Assembly 2026 (CMA 2026) on 24 & 25 June 2026.
This year’s Assembly will take place in person at Durham University’s Teaching and Learning Centre, bringing together the leaders, innovators, and researchers shaping the future of clean maritime.
Building on the success of our 2025 Assembly, CMA 2026 will feature even more of what attendees valued most, including:
- High-profile keynote addresses
- 3 parallel content streams tailored to a range of expertise and interests
- Interactive Q&A sessions
- A poster exhibition and competition
- A vibrant mix of sector experts passionate about clean maritime innovation
And we’re excited to introduce several new features for 2026:
- A new interactive programme designed to spark discussion and collaboration
- Travel bursaries to support Early Career Researchers in attending
- An Evening Drinks reception. Join us at the close of Day 1 (17:15 – 19:30) for drinks, light refreshments and an opportunity to continue the conversations beyond the formal programme. Along with some surprise entertainment - more details to be revealed soon!
With 40+ speakers across the 2 days, CMA 2026 will deliver a fresh approach to maritime decarbonisation through its dynamic programme of insights, discussions and collaboration.
This is a free-to-attend event. Due to the interactive nature of the Assembly, we are unable to stream proceedings online, so please only register if you are able to attend in person. Places are limited, so if your plans change after you've registered, please let us know. A waitlist will be in operation once all tickets have been snapped up!

Programme
About the Assembly
One of the highlights of the Clean Maritime Assembly 2025 was our distinctive programme of parallel sessions, designed to reflect the diversity of interests across the clean maritime sector. This successful format returns for CMA 2026!
The Assembly will open and close with plenary sessions, including an opening address, keynote presentations, and closing remarks - key moments, bringing everyone together. The rest of the programme becomes fully flexible, enabling attendees to shape their own experience by selecting sessions that match their interests and technical focus.
New addition, for CMA 2026
Alongside the established parallel streams, we will introduce a series of 70-minute interactive sessions led by maritime experts, designed to deepen engagement, encourage discussion, and explore key challenges and opportunities in a more participatory format.
