Join us for the Clayton Earth Day Clean Up in collaboration with Friends of Johnston County Parks!Date: Saturday, April 18, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM - 11:00 AM (Supply pick-up + activities at Horne Square)
12:00 PM - Until (Celebration at Deep River Brewing Company)
How to Participate:
• Register for the event here using the Friends of Johnston County Parks sign up form: www.townofclaytonnc.org/earthday (Select “Clayton” as your cleanup location)
• Stop by the Farmers Market at Horne Square between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM on April 18th to sign in and pick up supplies (trash bags, safety vests, trash grabbers).
• Once signed in and equipped, you can head out to your assigned clean up location.
• Afterwards, all participants are invited to join us at Deep River Brewing Company starting at 12:00 PM to turn in supplies, win prizes, and celebrate!
At the Farmer’s Market, participants can also:
• Pick up a free tree seedling and celebrate Arbor Day with Clayton Parks and Recreation
• Meet CWEP and Stormwater staff to learn how Clayton protects local waterways
• Learn about Clayton’s trash trap and how it keeps litter out of streams
