Girl Dinner Cheeseboard Workshop
with Isha Chatterjee
Date: Sunday, 16th March 2025
Location: Uraidla, Adelaide Hills
Who this workshop is for?
Perfect for beginners or anyone who’s tried their hand at clay before! In this workshop, I’ll teach you the basics of hand-building with clay, guiding you through rolling slabs to create your very own ceramic cheeseboard — the ideal addition to your next solo dinner or gathering.
What we’ll create?
You’ll work with a beautiful, easy-to-use clay that will transform into a sleek cheeseboard after firing and glazing at stoneware temperatures. You’ll have the opportunity to personalize your piece with handles, textures, or other creative elements like a dip bowl. I’ll fire up to two items per participant, so feel free to experiment with additional pieces or decorative touches!
By the end of the session, you’ll have a one-of-a-kind, handmade cheeseboard ready to showcase at your next dinner. All pieces will be glazed and fired at my studio and available for collection once they’re complete.
Workshop Details:
- Held at my home studio in the scenic town of Uraidla, just 20 minutes from Adelaide city.
- During warmer months, we’ll enjoy the garden shade, while cooler weather allows for a cozy indoor session with a small group.
- Refreshments including herbal teas and locally made treats are included.
- The class runs for about 3 hours.
- The workshop is designed for adults, though older children who are confident working independently can also join us.
