Sip a glass of rosé or a mocktail while you handbuild cute and cheeky clay trinkets in this relaxed, beginner-friendly workshop. Taught by ceramic artist Firuze Avci, you’ll learn simple hand-building techniques to create playful dishes, charms, and small keepsakes.
Hosted in the warm, cozy heritage gallery at Canopy Studios, this is all about connection and creativity in a welcoming space.

Firuze Avci (@theclaybenders):
Firuze Avci is a passionate, self-taught Turkish ceramic artist based in Calgary, AB. A Sociology graduate, she discovered her love for ceramics and began infusing her work with themes close to her heart, including feminism, immigration, empathy, and identity.
Firuze’s work challenges traditional gender norms and celebrates the beauty and power of the female body. Her pieces invite us to rethink femininity and embrace strength, individuality, and empowerment through clay.
