A creative ceramics class for breast cancer conquerors & co-survivors to sculpt, share, and heal through art. Sponsored by KnowBra/MakeBhm.
About this Event

? About the Workshop

Join us for an evening of creativity, reflection, and community through clay.
In this hands-on ceramics class, participants will learn to create a functional vessel — a cup, mug, or planter, using a hand-building technique called slab-building.

Under the guidance of potter and instructor Jess Jenkins, you’ll have the opportunity to personalize your piece by sculpting forms, textures, or symbols that reflect your personal journey, whether that includes breasts, mastectomy scars, or other elements of healing and self-expression.

At the end of the class, you’ll select a glaze for your work, which Jess will apply and fire in the kiln. Your finished piece will be ready for pickup later in the month and serve as a tangible reminder of resilience and artistry.

This workshop is open to breast cancer conquerors and co-survivors/caregivers, and is designed as a gentle, supportive space for creativity and connection. No ceramics experience is necessary, just come as you are.
